2012

Shipp started 37 games for the Pirates and was an impact player. He went 33-121 at the plate for a .273 avg and led the team with five homers. Shipp also had five doubles and two triples, he scored a team high 24 runs as well as batted in 20 runs. He was also awarded his second All-SCAC Honorable Mention selection.

2011

Shipp started all 24 games he appeared in during his injury shortened season and posted a .269 battings average. In 78 plate appearances he recorded 21 hits with six dobules and three homeruns while scoring 18 times and driving in 12 runs.

2010

Started 35 of the 36 contests he appeared in this season...was fourth on the team in both hits (40) and runs batted in (24)...batted .333 in 120 at bats...had seven doubles and two homeruns...hit by pitch 8 times...named to the SCAC Spring 2010 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll...named All-SCAC Honorable Mention.

2009(First-Year)

Nate batted .293 in 99 at bats.  He appeared in 36 games while starting 29 at both 2nd and SS.  Nate scored 21 runs, 4th on the team, had 4 doubles and 3 homeruns, tied for first on the team, and had 12 RBI.  Nate had 10 hit by pitches, first on the team and tied for 6th in the SCAC.

High School

Nate comes to Southwestern after red-shirting a season at Tarleton State University. He was a two time 2nd team All-District (13-5A) shortstop while at Belton High School and was named as the team's Most Valuable Player and was awarded the Tiger Legacy Award 2007 as well as being named the team's MVP in 2007.

Nate is the son of Ben and Donna.  Nate is a Kinesiology major at SU.
