Harvey then walked Tanner Haney to load the bases again and hit Evan McDonald to score Briese.

The Tigers added another run in the bottom of the fifth on a strikeout that turned into a wild pitch, allowing Briese to reach first and Pettit to score.

Both teams scored one run in the seventh, with Southwestern scoring on an error and Trinity scoring on a Harris home run.

Southwestern pulled to within 6-4 in the eighth, scoring on a wild pitch and a Tanner RBI single up the middle, but Trinity responded with a three-run blast by Pettit to put the game out of reach, and Southwestern only managed one hit in the ninth to end the game.
