2008 (Junior Year)
Started in 16 of the 17 matches he played in...his six goals tied
the team high for the season...had two game winning goals...posted
a .400 shots on goal percentage...was a 2008 All-SCAC First Team
selection.
2007 (Sophomore Year)
Lozano started all 20 matches on the season...for his efforts on
the pitch he was selected as a First Team All-South Central Region
pick and was a repeat selection on the All-SCAC team but this time
he was selected as a First Team performer...scored 8 goals and had
3 helpers on the season for a total of 19 points...in SCAC play he
managed 6 of his goals and 2 of his 3 assists...ranked 8th in the
conference in goals scored...ranked second in points and goals on
the Pirate squad...along with 4 other players he tied for first on
the team with assists...notched one game winner on the year vs.
SCAC foe DePauw on October 21, 2007 in a 2-0 win...recorded a
season high and team high 5 points vs. Texas Lutheran (Sept.
28)...also had 2 goals for 4 points vs. Millsaps (Sept. 23)...had
two multiple goal games on the season...his peers also selected his
goal vs. Trinity in the season final as Goal of the Year...with
just over four minutes to play, hitting a toe poke to the far
corner past a diving keeper to tie the #1 ranked team in the
country at 1-1 in regulation.
2006 (First Year)
Lozano started 18 matches and played in 18...he was a Third Team
All-SCAC selection in his first year as a Pirate...scored 5 goals
and had 2 assists for 12 points...he scored his first goal
collegiate goal in the first match in the season vs. UT-Tyler
(Sept. 1)...he was credited with 2 game-winning goals vs. Sewanee
in a 5-0 win (Oct. 27) and vs. Oglethorpe in a 3-2 win (Oct. 29).
2005
Lozano attended the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.
High School
Attended Westlake HS in Austin...was MVP for three years and
Offensive Player of the Year, was a First Team All-District
selection in 2004 and set the single season record for goals at
Westlake with 23.
Personal
David is the son of Jerry and Mary Lozano...he has two sisters
Sandra and Jeannie...is majoring in Kinesiology.
