Men's Soccer Battles St. Thomas To A Draw

GEORGETOWN, Texas — Southwestern men's soccer and the University of St. Thomas Celts battled to a 0-0 draw in Friday's double-overtime non-conference game between two conference rivals. 

Southwestern held a slight advantage in shots, outpacing St. Thomas 14-13 with five different Pirates getting two shots. The Pirates put six shots on goal, but all were stopped by St. Thomas goalkeeper Rodrigo Lazo. 

Brendan Prather got the start in the net for Southwestern with Greyson Brewer taking over after the half. Both kept clean sheets, combining for three saves. 

This is Southwestern's third overtime game, giving the Pirates a 1-0-2 record in overtime games. For the season, the Pirates are 4-1-2. Southwestern will host Centenary on Sunday.
