HOUSTON — Southwestern men's soccer and the St. Thomas Celts battled to a 0-0 double-overtime draw for the second time this season and have now shut each other out for three consecutive contests.

St. Thomas pressured the Pirate defense with a 21-4 advantage in shots taken, including 14 in the second half of regulation and four in the two overtimes, but Southwestern refused to break. Southwestern goalkeeper Jack Viles recorded four saves, posting his 12th career shutout.

Luke Malone and Ashton Bynum each put a shot on goal for the Pirates but were turned away by St. Thomas keeper Rodrigo Lazo.

Southwestern is now 7-2-4 on the season, including 2-1-2 in conference play. The Pirates will host Austin College and Dallas next weekend.
