GEORGETOWN, TX- The Pirates finished out their preseason without a loss and hosted Trinity University on Friday, September 29th for the first conference match of 2023.
The Tigers, 6-0-2, came into the match ranked 11th in the Country. Just ten minutes into the match, Trinity's Adam Knutson drilled a shot from outside the box that was out of reach for Pirate's goalkeeper Brendan Prather. The Pirates finished the first half without getting a shot on goal and down 0-2.
Trinity kept the pressure on as the Pirates played more aggressively in the second half. Ultimately, the Pirates would lose their Conference Opener 0-4.
Next up for the Pirates, the Pirates host Schreiner University on Sunday, October 1st at 3:00 PM CDT.
