SEGUIN, Texas — The Southwestern men's soccer team was eliminated from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Tournament with a 1-0 loss to the University of St. Thomas Celts in the semifinals.

Heading into the contest, neither team had scored against the other in three games. The defensive battle continued with Southwestern only allowing a single shot on goal this evening. Unfortunately, St. Thomas capitalized when Daniel Castro found Fabian Delgado on a cross 30 minutes in for the game-winner.

St. Thomas held a 13-10 advantage in shots generated with Southwestern putting three on goal, having all of them stopped by St. Thomas keeper Rodrigo Lazo.

With the loss, Southwestern drops to 10-3-4. The Pirates finished conference play with a 5-1-2 record.
