GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- The University of Dallas Crusaders traveled to play on Varsity Field versus Southwestern on Friday, Oct 20, 2023. 

The Pirates returned from three away games to host the Crusaders, who are 4-1 in conference play. Brendan Prather, Goalie, kicked things off for the Pirates by racking up his first assist of the season with a long, driving ball three-quarters of the way down the field where Mofe Ariyo was able to one-touch it to Ashton Bynum for the goal and early lead. Soon after, Michael Grimm connected with the Pirates leading scorer, Raghav Sharma, who was able to get ahead on it and get the goal.  

The Crusaders were able to capitalize on a penalty and Braylon Lee hit a perfectly placed ball around the wall and into goal. The Pirates went on a run after the Crusaders cut their lead to one. 

Bynum got his second goal of the game and season, while Nathianel Blake earned his fourth of the Season. Collin Otten and Lucas Knowlin each got a goal as well, bringing the final to 6-0. 

Next up for the Pirates is Senior Day at Varsity Field on Sunday, Oct 22, 2023, at 2:30 versus Austin College.
