GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- Senior Forward from Toronto, Canada, Mofe Ariyo, has been named the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week from Monday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 8th.  

Ariyo scored twice last weekend to lead the Pirates to a pair of critical SCAC wins over St. Thomas and Centenary. Ariyo scored the game-winner against the Celts and scored the insurance marker in Southwestern's victory over the Gents.  Ariyo now has a career-high four goals this season and this past weekend marked just the second time in his career he has scored in back-to-back matches. He is now tied for the Pirate lead with 11 points on four goals and three assists this year, tied for ninth-best in the SCAC.
