Georgetown, TX- The SCAC Coaches have voted, and Southwestern University Men's Soccer team has been selected as number four in the 2023 Preseason poll. 

The Pirates were two points shy of third place Colorado College in the Poll and favorites were Trinity in second and St. Thomas at number one. Southwestern University is coming off a season where they secured the program's most wins in SCAC play (six) since 2018. They are starting the year off with eight seniors and will be looking to improve upon last year.

 "For a team returning a majority of their starters and having finished 1 point off first place last year, we will simply have to embrace the challenge of proving the doubters wrong.  Our expectations are much higher than just 4th," said Head Coach Dustin Norman, who is starting his fifth season as coach for the Pirates. 

 Men's Soccer kicks their season off with a home game versus Willamette University on September 1, 2023 at 8:00 PM CDT.
