GEORGETOWN, Texas - For their only spring play date of the season the Southwestern men's soccer team will face the semi-pro Austin Aztex at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 20th on the Maple Street fields. Several youth soccer organizations will catch the action as the Aztex promote their return to Austin and upcoming summer season. 

In September the Austin Aztex announced the launching of a new franchise in the United Soccer League (USL) beginning with the 2012 season. The previous Aztex team was founded in 2008 and moved to Orlando, Florida in 2010 as part of the USL's top professional league. 

Southwestern assistant coach, Zach Pope, has been drafted by the club and will be competing against the Pirates to prepare for his return to the USL. 

The SU men's soccer team closed out the 2011 season with an 8-10-1 overall record and 4-5 in the SCAC.
