Murphy received his first nomination to First Team All-SCAC honors for his efforts on the diamond...Murphy started slow but finished the season strong to bat .322 for the year...he led the team in runs batted in with 37, home runs with six and slugging percentage with a .555 percentage...he also recorded a .997 fielding percentage with just one error in 291 total chances recording 269 putouts with 21 assists....he started 40-40 games and had 146 at bats with 47 hits and scoring 26 runs ranking third on the team...had one stolen base in one attempt...had a team high 5 RBIs and 2 home runs vs. Trinity on April 13. 2006 [First Year]
