GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - James Vaquero, a junior catcher from Houston, Texas, has been named to D3Baseball.com's Team of the Week for the first week of the 2024 season and games played from February 11th through the 18th. 

In the Pirates 3-0 series sweep against Sul Ross State, Vaquero totaled six hits with two home runs, and five RBIs for a .500 batting average on the weekend. Vaquero also collected two stolen bases and his eight runs scored helped the Pirates to twenty-nine total runs scored in the three-game series.
