Southwestern University senior Ryan Bellomy (Dallas, TX/Jesuit HS) was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Co-Player of the Week for games played Monday (Apr. 2) through Sunday (Apr. 8).

Bellomy led the Pirates to a 3-1 SCAC weekend against the Hendrix College Warriors, batting .533 (8-15). He drove in seven runs and scored four while accumulating a slugging percentage of .800. He had two doubles and a triple, all in the Pirates' 7-5 win on Saturday. The senior also walked twice and was hit once, good for an on-base percentage of .611.

For the season, Bellomy is batting .358 with 12 doubles (seventh in the SCAC), 30 runs scored (tied for 13th in the SCAC) and 25 runs driven in. His .500 slugging percentage is tied for 14th in the SCAC.
