Balke ended his first season on the track & field team as the third highest performer for the Pirates in the hammer with a throw of 29.49 meters at the SCAC Championships. He was also fourth in the shot put (9.26 meters) and javelin (30.54 meters).
Balke saw action in 12 games this season, scoring one goal and assisting on two others for three points. He took six shots, three on goal, for a .500 shots on goal percentage and earned a spot on the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
2012 (First-year)
Balke played in 13 games, starting 7, for Southwestern. He scored 2 goals and had 3 assists for a total of 5 points on the season. He was named to the Dean’s List.
High School
Nathan earned varsity letters in lacrosse while playing for the Wildcats.
Personal
Nathan is the son of Trent and Janet and has one brother, Ryan. Nathan is an engineering major with a minor in German at SU.
