SAN ANTONIO Texas -- The Southwestern University Pirates men's track team competed at the UIW Invitational this Saturday evening at Gayle & Tom Benson Stadium of the University of the Incarnate Word.

In the field events, Devin Rosas placed in the top five for the men's high jump. Rosas placed in fourth with a mark of 1.90 meters and also placed 21st in the long jump. Jude Ballew and Renyck Robertson placed 23rd and 26th in the men's long jump. In the men's shot put, John Peyton placed 22nd with a mark of 9.82 meters.

In other highlights, Ashton Frey, placed 27th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.66 and Ballew placed 29th in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 52.63. 

For the men's 4x100 meter relay, Southwestern placed 6th with Frey, Rosas, Ballew and Ryan Smith finishing at 44.30.

Up next, men's track and field will get ready for the SCAC Championship that Texas Lutheran University will host on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25.
