Coach Joe Sponsel has this to say about the two-day meet, " In our first couple meets, I defined success for the distance group as getting calibrated back to track racing and applying our training to races. This meet was much more about seeing the results from that training and I am very pleased with those results. We continue to race smart, largely avoiding the common pitfall of going out way too fast. We left ourselves some room in the second half of the races to actually race and beat people, which in part is what led us to the handful of PRs the team ran this week. From here, the plan is to keep the consistency in training and continue to find that next 1% we can give in races. They've earned the down week over Spring Break we've got coming up, but we have a lot of season left to improve."
