GEORGETOWN, Texas - Senior sociology major Jessica Herbst is receiving the 2010 Odum Award for best undergraduate research paper from the Southern Sociological Society. She will receive the award at the societys annual meeting in Atlanta, Ga., April 21-24.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Southwestern's women's basketball team lost to Colorado College in overtime 86-79 to drop out of fourth place in the West by half a game. The Pirates drop to 10-13 overall and 6-8 in the SCAC while the Tigers improve to 12-10 overall and 6-7 in the conference.
GEORGETOWN, Texas Juniors Shae Seagraves and Staley Mullins each recorded a double-double as the Pirates upset West leading Hendrix 70-55 in the Robertson Center on Saturday night.
