Sluss is a four-time letter winner in swimming and earned one letter in baseball at Harker Heights High School. He is a three-time district champion in the 200 free and won the 100 fly one time at districts. Sluss was an All-State selection twice and served as team captain for the 2013-14 season. He is also a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal
Matt is the son of Rob and Polly Sluss and has two siblings, Mary and Robby. He is majoring in kinesiology at Southwestern.
