2013-14
Gersib battled injury during his sophomore season. He earned a top 10 finish at the SCAC Championship in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:23.38 which was also the second best time for the Pirates. He finished 13th in the 200 IM and the 200 butterfly at the SCAC Championships.
2012-13
Gersib recorded the Pirates best time in the 200 fly, 100 IM, 200 IM and 400 IM during his first season at Southwestern. He swam to a time of 1:59.47 in the 200 fly at the Trinity Shootout and earned the team’s top 100 IM time vs. Centenary with a time of 56.10. His time of 4:14.61 in the 400 IM earned him a fifth place finish at the SCAC Championships, while he swam to a time of 1:57.44 to finish second in the 200 IM.

Gersib was a four-time Texas Sectionals Athlete.
Personal
Simon is the son of Greg Gersib and has four siblings, Anya, Alex, Alina and Angel. He is majoring in biochemistry at Southwestern.
