2012-13 (First-year)

Wood quickly became one of the top sprint swimmers for the Pirates in his first season at Southwestern. He recorded the top time in the 100 breast at 58.14 at the SCAC Championships and a school record in the 200 breast with a time of 2:08.14. He also finished the year with the second best times in the 50 free and the 100 free. Wood earned SCAC Swimmer of the Week honors in week one and was also named the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.

Prior to Southwestern

Wood was previously at UT Permian Basin and ACC and was a member of the swim team for the 2010-11 season. 

High School

Wood earned letters on the Eagle swim team and was named an All-American swimmer while setting four high school records and was a member of the state relay team. 

Personal

Kyler is the son of Dave & Lis Wood and has two siblings, Elise and Jordan. He is majoring in business at Southwestern.
