2012-13 (Sophomore)

Christensen competed in the 50 free, 100 free and the 100 fly in his first season with the Pirates. His personal best time in the 100 fly ranked third for Southwestern with a time of 56.14 at the SCAC Championships. His personal best times in the free were also at the SCAC Championships with a time of 22.21 in the 50 free and 49.09 in the 100 free.

Prior to Southwestern

Christensen attended Oklahoma State University but did not compete. 

High School

Christensen earned three letters in swimming and one in tennis for the Warriors. He was a TAPPS Division II State Champion in the 100 fly, State Finalist in the 50 and 100 free while also earning a TAPPS All-State Athlete selection in 2010. In 2011, Christensen was a TAPPS Division I State Finalist in the 50 free.

Alex is the son of John and Leslie Christensen and has three siblings, Andrew, Lara, and Bradley. His i majoring in business at Southwestern.
