NCAA Championships: Maxey Jumps His Way To New York

GEORGETOWN, TX- Sophomore Jamal Maxey qualified for Nationals in the Long Jump. 

In April 2023, Jamal Maxey had the best long jump of his life and broke a Southwestern University record that stood for 14 years. That jump earned Maxey a qualifying mark for the 2023 NCAA Track and Field Championships in Rochester, New York. Maxey qualified in 20th position, with a jump of 7.28M. 

Jamal Maxey will be competing in the Long Jump Thursday, May 25th at 1:15PM at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex at St. John Fischer University in Rochester, New York. 

Maxey is one of nine student-athletes from the SCAC that will be competing in the Championships.
