Adrian Washington Wins SCAC Field Athlete of the Week

ADRIAN WASHINGTON OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from McKinney, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 21 through Sunday, March 27. (SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 4)

Washington had another record-setting performance at the TLU/D3 Challenge, finishing second in the high jump while setting a new school record with a height of 2.01 meters.

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Ezra Ecero of Texas Lutheran broke the stadium, meet, and school records in the pole vault event when he cleared 4.65m (15-3) at the D3 Challenge. He leads the SCAC in the event and is currently tied for ninth in NCAA Division 3. First-year Matthew Hicks of St. Thomas finished sixth out of 11 competitors after clearing a height of 1.92 meters in the high jump at the D3 Challenge. Senior Rob Slaybaugh of Trinity took home two second-place finishes and a fourth-place finish at the TLU D3 Invite. He set a new personal best in the shot put with a 14.92m throw to take second. His 44.00m throw in the hammer would earn him fourth while his 45.00m throw in the discus took second.
