Pirates place fifth at SCAC Championships

SEGUIN, Texas – Tyler Adams accumulated six points to lead the Southwestern men's track and field team on the final day of competition at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

Adams placed fourth in the discus throw with a toss of 38.79m. He also posted a fifth-place finish in the javelin throw with a heave of 38.82m.

Both of the Pirates' relay teams earned fifth-place finishes, which received two points apiece.

Ryan Pace picked up one point, as he finished sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.11 seconds.

Trinity took home the team championship with 251 points. Texas Lutheran finished second with 226 points, while Colorado College received 66 points and placed third. Dallas was one spot ahead of Southwestern with 44 points. The Pirates completed the event with 28 points.
