Cassidy posted a season best in the shot put at the Texas State meet, throwing 10.75 meters and had a season best in the hammer throw with a toss of 33.13. He earned All-SCAC honors in the hammer and shot put at the SCAC Championships and earned a spot on the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
High School
Cassidy is a 2011 graduate of Tivy High School and earned a letter in football for the Antlers.
Personal
Owen is the son of Neil and Heather and has one sibling, Rory. He is majoring in Studio Arts at Southwestern.
