    GEORGETOWN, Texas - Thanks to the generous donations of the members of Southwestern's first booster club, The Pirate Crew, the Athletic Department was able to begin a new tradition of awarding watches to senior athletes whom had completed eligibility while at Southwestern.

    SUWANEE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its second annual Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving All-Sportsmanship teams. Eighteen men’s and women’s swimmers were selected to the 2010 squad including SU's Josh Stanfield and Anya Lopez-Fuentes.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After two days of action the Southwestern men's swim team is standing strong in eighth place at the SCAC Championships. SU is less than 50 points away from seventh and are looking to close the gap in the final day of action Saturday.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Southwestern men's relay teams had solid showings in day one at the SCAC Championships. The 200 yard free relay finished in sixth while the 400 medley relay came in seventh. SU is currently in eighth place overall.

    GEORGETOWN, Texas - A strong McMurry swim club challenged the Pirates in their final dual meet of the season and resulted in strong swims as Southwestern heads into the SCAC Championships in two weeks. SU had three event wins but feel to MCM 121-63.

    SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Southwestern men’s swim team continues to improve times as they head towards the end of the season. Two swimmers posted season best times and five individuals in nine events had personal best swims at the Incarnate Word Invitational this weekend.

    GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Pirates were out-manned in their first home meet and fell to the University of Texas – Permian Basin 132-57. Four swimmers posted personal best times during the dual meet and two took first place in their events.

    SHERMAN, Texas – Thanks to a strenuous training schedule over the winter break the Southwestern men’s swim team finished in fourth place at the Austin College Invite on Saturday. Two swimmers posted season best times in four events during the meet.

    The Southwestern men’s and women’s swim teams continue to make great strides this year, even with the season in its infancy. The women finished in fourth place and the men in seventh out of eight teams competing, including three with extensive diving programs.

    The men's and women's swim teams spent the weekend on the road with dual meets against McMurry University and Trinity University. The women split the contests, winning at McMurry and falling at TU while the men dropped both contests.

  • PIRATE SWIMMERS EARN ALL-AMERICAN TEAM HONORS

    The Collegiate Swim Coaches Association of America unveiled its Spring 2009 list of Scholar-Athlete Teams. In all, 347 teams representing 238 colleges and universities earned the distinction based on a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
