Southwestern University dropped the back end of their road trip to DePauw on Sunday afternoon, 81-54.

After five ties in the first 7 minutes of the game, DePauw went on a 15-4 run to go up by 12 points with 2 minutes remaining in the first half. A pair for free throws and a jumper by junior guard Anthony Cox brought the Pirates within nine heading into the break.

DePauw came out blazing, scoring the first 14 points in the first three minutes of the second half, including 4 three-pointers, to go up by 23. The Pirates would never get closer than 19 points.

Southwestern was led by junior guard Travis Barber who scored 9 points on the night. Sophomore Jonathan Brown pulled down a season high 13 rebounds to lead the Pirates.

With the loss, Southwestern falls to 13-7 overall and 4-6 in conference play. They hit the road again on Saturday as they head to arch rival Trinity. The game is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m.
