GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- Men's basketball (1-11) opened up a weekend of back-to-back games by hosting the University of Dallas Crusaders (4-8) for a conference matchup at home in the Corbin J. Robertson Center on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 5:30 PM CST. The Crusaders rallied late in the second half to pull away with the 69-59 win over the Pirates. 

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Gio Gutierrez led the Pirates with 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. 

• Luke Hatcher added 15 points and 5 rebounds coming off the bench. 

• Brock Luechtefeld scored 11 points, shooting 5/9 from the field, and had 6 rebounds.

• Jacob Hester finished with 10 points.

NOTES:

• The Crusaders outscored the Pirates 20-4 for second-chance points

• The Pirates finished the game shooting 18/56 from the field

• Both teams finished with 15 turnovers
