Loder & Hester Named to CSC Academic All-District List

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University Men's Basketball team earned two College Sports Communicators Academic All-District awards this week. Sophomore guard Sebastian Loder and senior guard Jacob Hester were the two athletes who earned the title of Academic All-District for their performance on the court and in the classroom. 

"The 2023-2024 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA."

To qualify for CSC Academic All-District an athlete must have these qualifications:


Academic standing:

  • Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
  • Institutions may only nominate four athletes for CSC Academic All-District Awards in basketball.

Academic eligibility:

  • An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
  • The cumulative grade point average may not be rounded up to 3.50.

Athletic eligibility

  • M/W Basketball: Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games/contests.
