The Southwestern University men's basketball team looks to bounce back from a home loss to the University of Dallas with a road game against the Colorado College Tigers.

Southwestern is fifth in the conference standings at 4-6, trailing Centenary by one win. Colorado College (3-8) is on a four-game losing streak with two losses to Trinity and a loss to Schreiner and Dallas. The two teams last met on Dec. 17, in the conference open. Southwestern won that meeting 58-50 with a quality defensive performance, blocking seven shots and limiting the Tigers to 29.7 percent shooting.

Colorado College had three scorers averaging double figures, led by Scott Cunningham's 13.3 points per game. Southwestern is paced by SCAC-leading scorer Kyle Poerschke, who is averaging 16.3 points per game and ranks fifth in rebounds at 7.5 per game. The Pirates' next three leading scorers are Chris Smith, Jr. (9.6), Preston Hannah (8.6), and Brock Luechtefeld (8.5).

In January, Hannah entered the starting lineup and responded with his best month, averaging 11.5 points per game on 52.4 percent shooting, including 44.0 percent from deep in eight games.
