GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior Tami Warner (pictured) finished in
25th place out of 189 runners in her final meet for the Pirates.
The team came in 21st place overall to wrap-up their 2009
season.
Even with the warm humid weather and muddy course conditions that
have plagued SU all season, Warner’s time of 24:55 earned her
a spot on the All South/Southeast Region team as the Pirates’
top performer. First-year Laura Wooden closed out her first season
as the second highest finisher for Southwestern, placing in 139th
with a time of 28:53.
Junior Ursula James finished in 144th place in a time of 28:57
while first-year Christina Hadly took 149th place in a time of
29:24. Junior Lili McEntire ended in 31:15 for 167th place.
The Regionals race marked the end of the Pirates season.
