GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- The Pirates hosted Sewanee for their final games of the 2023 season. 

Both teams entered the game with a 2-5 record and were looking to finish out their season with a victory. 

Pirates started off the game with a 62-yard drive that was stopped by an interception. A few possessions later, Sewanee was in scoring position, but that, too, was stopped by an interception in the endzone by Peyton Ludemann. 

Scoreless at half, the Pirates really picked things up at the start of the third quarter as Leroy Rodriguez scored off of a 15-yard run, giving the Pirates the the first lead of the game. Charlie Fournie drilled in a field goal to end the third quarter up, 10-0. 

Jaylen Spriggs entered the game to rush for a 1-yard touchdown, and Damian Gomez scored as well, bringing the final score to 24-0. The Pirates total offense was 429 yards, as opposed to Sewanee's 186 yards. Kicker Charlie Fournier was perfect on the day, contributing 6 points. 

The Pirates wrapped up their season with an overall record of 3-7.
