GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Football freshman defensive back Cam Roberson has been awarded Southern Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week for week 4 of the season. In his first career start, the newcomer recorded three interceptions and led Southwestern to its first SAA victory, a 43-20 triumph over Birmingham-Southern. Roberson totaled 29 INT return yards and also notched two tackles in the game from his safety position. The Panthers only managed 44 offensive plays with the Southwestern defensive giving up 377 yards of total offense.
