LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Brandon Fleischmann and Dylan Wilburn both earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors, the league office announced on Monday. Fleischmann garnered defensive accolades, while Wilburn was honored on the offensive side of the ball.

The duo helped Southwestern to a 35-0 victory at Austin College, which also helped the squad clinch at least a share of the SCAC championship.

Fleischmann paced the Pirates' defensive effort with 10 tackles, including 3.5 for loss, and two sacks. The senior defensive lineman also broke up two passes and logged a pair of quarterback hurries.

Southwestern's defense limited the 'Roos to only 163 yards of total offense, including just 59 on the ground.

Meanwhile, Wilburn led an offense that rolled up 367 rushing yards. The senior running back posted a career-high 143 rushing yards and found the end zone twice. Wilburn, who averaged 7.2 yards per carry, scored on a seven-yard run in the first quarter and added a one-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

The Pirates (5-3, 4-0 SCAC) will host Trinity Saturday for Homecoming at Birkelbach Field. The league tilt is slated to kickoff at 1 p.m. Prior to the game, Southwestern will honor its senior class.
