GEORGETOWN, Texas – After a dominant victory in the men's four-mile race at the UST Celt Invitational, Noah Dennis has been named NCAA Men's XC National Athlete of the Week for Division III.
Dennis earns this prestigious honor after posting a remarkable time of 22:09.1, helping the Pirates place fourth overall.
Regarding his performance this past weekend, Head Coach Steven Cary said, "Noah is well-deserving of this honor. For the coaches association to recognize his performance on Saturday, that speaks volumes and is a testament to his resilience, as well as the passion he has for the sport and his teammates."
This is the first time in program history that an athlete from Southwestern has been named National Athlete of the Week, to which Coach Cary said, "For a first in program history, I couldn't think of a better student-athlete to represent the Pirates on a National stage."
