2012-13 (First-year)
Lapinski earned a personal best in the 50 back and 100 back at the SCAC Championships; both top the Pirates top times’ list for the season. He also grabbed the top time in the 200 back swimming to a time of 1:57.33 at the conference championships. His top time in the 200 fly of 2:02.47 was set vs. Austin College as he earned the team’s second best time in the 100 IM vs. Centenary.
Prior to Southwestern
Lapinski competed one season on the Florida Atlantic swim team.
High School
Lapinski was an Honorable Mention All-State selection for the Mustang swim team.
Personal
Ty is the son of Kelly and Joe Lapinski and has one sibling, Katie. He is majoring in accounting at Southwestern.
