Simmon is a 2013 graduate from Lamar HS. In 2010 during his freshman season he earned Rookie of the Year. He was named Most Valuable Swimmer all four years and was Team Captain 2011 through 2013. In 2013 he was also District Champion and a Regional Medalist.
Personal
Simmon is the son of Yonas and Kidist Belaineh, and he is brother to Mikelina and Mahelet Belaineh. He is pursuing a major in international business here at Southwestern University.
