Men's Swimming Earns The Win Versus The Roos

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- The Men's swimming team traveled to Sherman, TX on Saturday, November 4th, for a dual meet versus the Austin College Roos. 

The men earned some positive results for their third match of the season. They started off strong, taking the victory in the 400 yard medley relay in a time of 3:44.83. The relay members were Andrew Renninger, Jorge Mendiola, Owen Rodrigue, and freshman Eli Allen. In the longest event, 1000 Yard Freestyle, which comprises of 20 laps, freshman Nicholas Freeman took the overall win in 10:15.60. Andrew Renninger won the 200 yard freestyle in 1:53.72. 

Jorge Mendiola found himself on the topstep again, winning the 50 yard freestyle in 27.95. Zach Roberts won the 100 yard butterfly in 55.84 and Marc Galindo won the 50 yard freestyle in 22.7. Nicholas Freeman won the 200 yard IM in 2:04.42. 

Andrew Renninger, Marc Galindo, Jorge Mendiola, and Eli Allen capped off the meet with another relay win in the 200 yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:30.40. 

The men earned the overall victory with 175 total points. Austin College finished with 83.

The Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams will participate in the Tiger Invite starting November 17th, a three-day meet at Alamo Heights HS Natatorium.
