The IWLCA has recognized 262 schools as earning IWLCA Academic Honor Squad honors for the 2015 season. Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned Academic Squad honors.
In their first road game after a long homestand, the Southwestern women's lacrosse team stormed back from four down and scored five goals in the final seven minutes to defeat Aurora University 15-11 on March 27th.
Southwestern rounded out their lengthy home stand with games against Puget Sound and Olivet. SU fell 10-9 to Puget Sound on Friday afternoon before rallying for a huge 16-1 win over Olivet on Sunday.

The wind died down just as the Pirates were heating up on a chilly night in Georgetown as Southwestern women’s lacrosse battled John Carroll University Thursday night.
Southwestern started the second half on a 6-1 run to take a lead and Allison Schmitt scored the game winning goal with less than one minute to play as the Pirates defeated King’s College at home on Tuesday night 11-10.
Hendrix struck first but Southwestern’s runs were too much to handle as the Pirates easily won their season opener 18-7 in Conway, Ark. on Friday night.
Marissa Mills will be helping to lead the Southwestern women’s lacrosse team this spring as the assistant coach. She has extensive lacrosse experience, serving most recently as a coach for the Long Island Elite Lacrosse Club in Islip, NY.
