The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its regional awards, naming Southwestern outside hitter Emma White to its All-Region Honorable Mention team for Region X.
"As a program, we are all stoked for Emma White. This is a sign of how we all develop and grow together," Southwestern head volleyball coach Don Flora says. "Emma has put in the hard work, and this program is built upon each athlete developing individually and the team growing collectively."
White, an All-SCAC First Team selection and the SCAC Elite 19 award-winner, leads No. 14-ranked Southwestern in points (406.0), kills (343), and service aces (47). She's also second on the team in digs (395). In addition, she's third in the SCAC in points and kills and second in service aces. The Pirates are 25-5 and earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament, winning their first-round match against the Washington and Lee Generals.
