SU Women's Featured Athlete: Andie Valenzuela

Southwestern middle blocker Andie Valenzuela is the women's SU Featured Athlete of the Week for her performances in volleyball's wins over Dallas, Austin College, Schreiner, and Centenary. 

Valenzuela finished second on the team with 45.5 points, recording 39 kills on an efficient .400 hitting percentage. She also contributed 11 blocks, including two solo blocks. She had at least 10 kills in three of Southwestern's four matches, including 11 against Schreiner on 15 attacks with just one error for a .667 hitting percentage. 

For the season, Valenzuela has 118 kills on a .353 hitting percentage and 34 total blocks, six of which are solo. She is sixth in the conference in solo blocks, 13th in block assists, and 19th in points. Southwestern is 15-1 this season, including 6-1 in conference play.
