Lauren Crabtree Is SU's Women's Featured Athlete of the Week

Southwestern volleyball's Lauren Crabtree is this week's women's SU Featured Athlete for her performances in two matches at the Trinity National Invitational. 

A senior right side from Dallas, Texas, Crabtree earned Trinity National Invitational All-Tournament honors with double-digit kills in both matches to lead the 22nd-ranked Pirates to an undefeated weekend. Crabtree totaled 22 kills for an average of 3.14 per set on an efficient .364 hitting percentage. 

Crabtree is currently ninth in the conference in kills (89) and 10th in kills per set (2.70). She has also contributed 19 block assists, ranking seventh in the SCAC. 

Southwestern is off to its best start since the 2017 season at 9-0. The Pirates will open conference play this weekend in Colorado Springs, Colo., with matches against Texas Lutheran, Colorado College, and St. Thomas.
