Volleyball Falls to No. 6 Colorado College

IRVING, Texas -- The Southwestern University Pirates lost to No. 6 Colorado College in four sets (22-25, 27-25, 18-25, 12-21) to open the second day of the SCAC Group Divisionals hosted by the University of Dallas.

Southwestern opened strong, battling Colorado College through the first two sets on nearly equal footing before Colorado College's defense, which limits opponents to a 0.100 hitting percentage (20th in Division III), held the Pirates to a .000 in the final two sets. 

Emma White led the Pirates with nine kills on a .212 hitting percentage, contributing 13 digs and two block assists for 10 points. Lauren Crabtree had seven kills with 19 digs and 23 assists with two block assists. 

Ali Brona led the Pirates in digs with 20 and had one service ace. 

Haley Harris led Colorado College with 16 kills and Georgia Mullins had 13 on a .393 hitting percentage. Lizzy Counts had 24 digs and 49 assists. 

With the loss, the Pirates drop to 15-10 on the season and 8-5 in conference play. Southwestern will play Schreiner University at 4:00 p.m.
