#8 Tigers slide past #11 Pirates

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – All eyes were on Colorado Springs as the nationally-ranked Southwestern and Colorado College volleyball teams faced off on day one of the final conference weekend. The Tigers took the match 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 28-26).

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Colorado College came prepared to defend their home court and used big runs late to win the first set 25-13.
  • Southwestern fired back and jumped out to a 9-4 lead in the second set, but the Tigers eventually regained control, 20-19, and pulled out the win 25-21.
  • The Pirates had another strong start at the beginning of the third set, posting an 8-3 lead, but once again the Tigers roared back and edged out Southwestern 28-26.
