Strickland appeared in 70 sets for the Pirates and was second on the team in assists with 327, 4.67 per set. She posted 10 aces on the year including three in the season opener against East Texas Baptist University. Strickland also posted a season high 21 digs against Trinity on September 20th. She was a member of the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
2012
Strickland appeared in 35 matches for Southwestern in her first season. She paced the Pirate offense with 1,109 assists, third most in the SCAC. Her defense was also outstanding in her rookie campaign as she recorded the third most digs for SU with 387 and averaged 3.28 digs per set. She also added 22 blocks and 30 kills on the season while finishing with 20 double-doubles. She eclipsed the 40-assist mark seven times including two matches of 52 assists. Strickland was tabbed SCAC Offensive Player of the Week the second week of the season as she also helped the Pirates reach the NCAA tournament for a ninth consecutive season.
High School
A two-year letterwinner on the Bruin volleyball team, Strickland was a First Team Academic All-State selection.
Personal
Lacey is the daughter of Tom and Lynn Strickland and has one sibling, Lee. She is majoring in accounting at Southwestern and is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, Panhellenic Committee and is the Treasurer of H.E.A.T.
