Thibodeau Earns Coveted NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA's 2012-13 fall sports postgraduate scholarship winners have been announced, with 29 male and 29 female fall sports student-athletes each receiving $7,500 including Southwestern senior volleyball player Rachel Thibodeau. Similar awards are given each season to winter and spring student-athletes, totaling 174 individual winners.

Thibodeau has an outstanding resume both on the court and in the classroom, truly epitomizing a Southwestern student-athlete. She is a 4.0 student majoring in psychology and earned numerous awards on the volleyball court including SCAC Player-of-the-Year, CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team and AVCA Third Team All-America.

Thibodeau is the only Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference student-athlete to be awarded the scholarship this season and one of 58 student-athletes throughout all divisions to receive the award. To view the complete list of honorees, please click here
