
SAN ANTONIO – The Southwestern men's swimming team is off to a blistering start at the Trinity Invite.
This three-day mid-season meet in San Antonio is an opportunity for the Bucs to familiarize themselves with the multi-day meet and race against great competition. Thus far, the swimmers have risen to the occasion.
Michael Glover, Simmon Belaineh, Matt Sluss, and Zachary Kline boasted a third place finish in the men's 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:24.44.
The only individual event competed this evening was the 500 freestyle. The Pirates' distance swimmers posted some incredible mid-season times in this event.
Swimming to a lifetime best and a seventh place finish was Peter Robinson with a time of 4:43.77. Evan Jones set the pace early swimming a 4:45.22 from the event's second heat. Since the meet was timed finals, his race placed him in ninth overall for the evening.
