
SAN ANTONIO – The Southwestern University men's swimming & diving team was unable to defeat Trinity for a second time this season. The Tigers posted a 213-91 victory over the Pirates.
Mickey Scharbrough paced Southwestern with a pair of individual wins. The 6-foot-2 sophomore won both the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes. He claimed the 100-yard crown with a time of 1:02.14, while winning the 200-yard race in a mark of 2:14.89.
Simon Gersib also won the 200-yard individual medley, touching the wall first at 2:05.87.
The Pirates will continue their campaign on Saturday, Jan. 23, as the squad hosts McMurry.
