
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Southwestern men's swimming and diving team returned to action with a neutral site contest against Birmingham-Southern. The Pirates dropped the dual match by a score of 171-113.
The Pirates earned three victories on the day.
The 200-yard relay squad of Michael Glover, Mickey Scharbrough, Simmon Belaineh and Matt Sluss turned in a first-place finish with a time of 1:37.61.
Glover also touched the wall first in the 100-yard backstroke with a mark of 54.49.
Meanwhile, Belaineh picked up a win in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.13.
Southwestern will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 16 at Trinity.
